I'm a senior in college and a huge Valiant fan. Here's my Valiant story: I'm 21 now and a college student. I was 6ish when the Valiant boom occured. As a kid I thought that the art was awesome. My dad collected all of the Valiant universe but of course I never got to read them, they were worth a ton of money then. The closest my little hands ever got to the early valiant books was the trading cards and I loved them. I would sit around look at my cards and try to imagine the stories. I loved the 2 books that I had (X-O Manowar 0 and 21) and I still have them to this day. Anyway, last summer some of my friends convinced me to go the comic book store with them and I asked one of the owners about getting some Valiants. I lucked out and I got the first 20 issues of X-O for a dollar an issue. I have started to collect other titles but X-O is still by far my favorite. After reading the books let me say that the stories are far better than the ones I made up while looking at my trading cards.
